WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

You can read more about me at Mighty Maggie and more about my Catholic and not-so-Catholic background on the Official About Page. Thanks for visiting!

I've been going to the same church for over 15 years and last week I went to my first "thing". It's a big church and easy to get lost. I had a lot of excuses (some good, some not so good) for not doing other things there besides Sunday morning, but when an evening group for young moms started up on a decent night every two weeks, I felt drawn to it. And I really liked it. And I am truly hoping this is the way to meet some life long friends and get back to the me that knew Jesus was fun, the me I was back in college when I discovered the NDCF at my school. I haven't had that kind of fellowship since, and I miss it immensely. And so does my spiritual life. And since you asked for prayer requests, please pray for my family. My 28-year-old cousin, a gorgeous, vibrant girl, passed away two Sundays ago. It was sudden and the cause is still unknown. My aunt, uncle, and cousin (her brother), as well as her fiance, are beside themselves with grief. I traveled 12 hours each way in a car with my parents this weekend to her funeral, and we hated leaving them behind to mourn when we came back yesterday. They need any prayer they can get--for peace, for answers, for purpose as they move forward in their grief. Thank you. Oh, and I'm happy you might not be done blogging on the other site. I have missed you :) I have written the equivalent of 3,000 pages on my blog no one except my mom reads, and I still need it to process things, more than anything else...

Aww that would be great if you kept blogging! I miss it so much, but have not figured out how to be a mother and a blogger. We can't get our child to sleep and between that and work, well there goes blogging. I hope I get back to it though.
