WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

How exciting!! Assuming he doesn't raise objections, I don't think you should feel guilty (I know, I know - easier typed than done). This is what marriage is about though. You support him daily in his career, and while it stunk when he was traveling a ton, you dealt with it. Of course there will be nights you both wished you were staying home, but it sounds like God is calling you to this ministry and opening doors, which means God will also be calling Philip to be home with the kids and will provide the energy he needs to do so.

That said, I totally get the being tired and exhausted part. I hope your trip to Europe provides some energy and revitalization for you all.

I completely agree with Sarah's comment above. I've started dabbling in ministry recently and have found a lot of peace by using my time in the car as I drive away from home to pray. I have been known to ask the Holy Spirit to pour graces on my children to help them be obedient and also for my husband to help him be loving and patient while I am gone.
