WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

I am willing to bet that I know even less about that of stuff than you do! Plus, I have had a TON of anti-Mary and anti-saints stuff drilled into me. I'm trying to have faith. It's hard sometimes, when Dad tries to hit me over the head with accusations of what the Church believes. Because I know that what HE thinks is a twisted version. But I'm not yet educated enough to explain.

You're fighting the good fight, Maggie.

Since you brought up Mary....let me just say she's the one I feel more connected to during my in the trenches of motherhood days. I am in the middle of reading 33 Days to Morning Glory by Fr. Michael Gaitley. Its a book all about entrusting oneself to Mary as your spiritual mother based on the faith lives of JPII, Mother Teresa, St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Louis de Monfort. Its a page a day read which makes it manageable, but I usually go back and re-read days to help it sink in because I really want it to SINK IN DEEP
