WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

Thanks for sharing that he's Catholic (not that it matters!). I didn't know that but I love love love that song. :)

Thanks for sharing the song. A much needed reminder - of course I need God EVERY hour! Not just when its most convenient for me. I was doing fairly well with intentional daily prayer during lent and since Easter my talk-to-Jesus routine has fallen to the wayside.

I also enjoy reading the Jesus Storybook Bible with my girls. When Mallory was an infant I challenged myself to Read The Bible Cover To Cover in a Year. I did do it but didn't get much from plodding through the scripture...with the exception of the Gospels. I was amazed at what Jesus said! He says so MUCH more than what we hear on Sunday. BUT - that children's bible is SO great for the kids AND me. They really convey truth by putting the stories in the right perspective. Either that or my scripture reading level is akin to a 6-year old.
