WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

I totally get what you're saying, and as the money-anxious partner in my marriage, I really appreciate the intent and sacrifice. It is thoughtful, considered, and reflective. I'm not sure what else I'm trying to say here, but I love it and I think you're great for doing it.

I think this is one of the reasons that grad school is so stressful for me right now. Daniel has a number at which he feels safe, but he also said okay when I wanted to spend a huge amount of our savings for school. Things are better now that he's at a stable job though.

I think that fasting from spending sounds like a great idea- if that's what it takes to reveal your need for God and to rely on Him, then that's a good thing!

This post was so good! I love hearing how people work to love their spouses well!
