WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

I can't believe no one has commented. It's very fascinating! I love your descriptions of yourself, as "a Catholic with, uh, evangelical tendencies. MY PEOPLE!" So cute. A good friend in college was v. Catholic and also involved in the (same) NDCF. He always wanted me to join him. I never did and sorta regretted it (but was busy with other things).

and I love the idea of bringing things back and "adapting" them to a typical Catholic parish. Because there's so much that can be learned and shared, and should be! But people get twitchy if it isn't "translated". You know all this. Thx for sharing!

I've flitted around your blog and found this journey so interesting. I'm a cradle Catholic who has always loved lively praise and worship (and I love "Lift High the Cross" on the organ!).

Long story short - I'm an orthodox Catholic and part of an ecumenical, charismatic community. I love God and feel compelled to receive Him in the Eucharist and praise Him in prayer meetings. One faith - many expressions of it. No contradiction.

I love your exuberance!
