WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

I glanced at this post in my reader today and thought, I have to read this after the kids are in bed. So I did, and it was great, but your last paragraph was wonderful.
As for desiring the praises of man, in my experience when God is working though you it's hard to take all the credit...

I think it's wonderful that you're gifted in this and that you KNOW it! And I think it makes sense that you struggle with it, because wouldn't satan love to prevent you from doing something that God has gifted you with? So keep struggling! Keep going! Also, that's my favorite hymn too.

Thank you for writing this.

I am so thankful that you write so openly about your struggles, as it makes me feel less alone in mine. Thank you for this, too. I am not entirely certain what I'm being called to do, but the realization that He will work with me to do it because He wants to, in spite of my sins, is one that I often forget.

Also - I'm always up for email. :)
