WELCOME! Here is my not-terribly-eloquent attempt to grow closer to God via... blogging. Unfortunately for you, I'm not sure what that means either. I guess we'll find out!

I'm 30 years old, married to an IT Guy and a stay-at-home-mom to two spectacularly gorgeous children. While we attend Mass on Sunday mornings, I spend the entirety of the Eucharistic Prayer focused on making sure the baby uses her crayons on the bulletin, not the pew

You can read more about me at Mighty Maggie and more about my Catholic and not-so-Catholic background on the Official About Page. Thanks for visiting!

Oh, Maggie! I know just what you mean. Sometimes it occurs to me to pray about something and I am surprised, like, "Oh! What a good idea! Why didn't I think of praying before? I've been trying to figure this out by myself for days!" You'd think by now it would be one of the first things I think of to do instead of one of the last ones. Also I tried (for Lent)to do a decade of the rosary each night in bed before I went to sleep as a way to remind myself to pray more often. I rarely made it through the third Hail Mary before falling asleep. Am trying to find a different time that I can A: Remember to do it B: Not be distracted and C: Not fall asleep.

And the nap! The hard part of me (with newborns and then with this when they are older) is not KNOWING. It would be one thing if I knew for sure if I was going to get the down time or not (that's what it is like now with three, by the way...I just know I am not going to get the down time until they are all in bed at night) because I could then plan accordingly. But NOT KNOWING for sure, that is hard.
