About Hot by Thirty

  • Desperate not to spend another summer hiding out in fat and/or maternity clothes, I'm determined to drop thirty pounds of baby weight by my thirtieth birthday- July 18, 2009. How unfortunate, then, that I prefer to spend nap time in front of my television with a vat of ice cream. But I've lost these same thirty pounds twice before and I can do it again. I shall do this by steering clear of white flour and sugar and moving my stumpy legs as fast as they will go on our new treadmill. In front of the television, of course. DON'T GIVE UP!

Maggie, you have started running, for goodness sake! RUNNING. YOU. I'd count that as a huge success. (Plus, you're kind of enjoying it from time to time, right?)

My scale told me I was two different weights this morning - two pounds apart. At first, I was like, YAY! I lost a pound! Then, I was all, boo! I gained a pound!

Maybe I need a new scale.

Jen

Tired is bad. But I bet those two pounds will drop off when you are least expecting it.

I am having one of those days too. What I want to know is what the heck did I eat yesterday that caused my weight to be up 1.2 lbs this morning?! I am consistent with weighing-- get up, go to the bathroom, then weigh myself before I get dressed. I know weight fluctuates, but mine is typically within 1/2 a pound either way so what's up with this morning? BAH.

Lindsay

When I first stepped on the scale today it was pushed against the wall, and it weighs light when that happens. So I noticed it when I was standing on the scale, got off, fixed and reweighed. I *gained* 7 lbs in one second.

LOL. Ya win some you lose some. Those pounds will go. Maybe go youtube some gatorade commercials or something to get pumped up?
