About Hot by Thirty

  • Desperate not to spend another summer hiding out in fat and/or maternity clothes, I'm determined to drop thirty pounds of baby weight by my thirtieth birthday- July 18, 2009. How unfortunate, then, that I prefer to spend nap time in front of my television with a vat of ice cream. But I've lost these same thirty pounds twice before and I can do it again. I shall do this by steering clear of white flour and sugar and moving my stumpy legs as fast as they will go on our new treadmill. In front of the television, of course. You can also find me at mightymaggie.com.

I read an article about how Saturday is basically Kill The Diet day for most people. So you're probably right about that. Although even those small losses add up quickly.

Wow! I can't believe you are so close! You can do it!

You're doing so well! Am excited for you! (Mad at my own scale, but my excuse for last week was pneumonia. So there.)

Dude. 2.5 pounds to go?!

The push-ups ARE killer. Especially when your 20 month-old, who is not accustomed to seeing you exercise, deems it a perfect opportunity for a horsey back ride.

YAY Maggie! You can do it! And jsyk, when I started shredding (in mid-October after viewing some unfortunate photos of my fat a**) I could barely push up and now I just randomly walk out (see: Shred level 2) and do 10. Just, you know, whenever. Muscles grow fast. And I totally took December off. In fact, I think I'll do some now...

How very mighty, Maggie! That is great. Keep it up. LOL about phoning it in at the gym. I need to mute Jillian when she says, 'that's fear leaving your body.' Who cares about fear? I want FAT to leave my body.

ok, so you inspired me to get the Shred DVD I'd heard about so much and today will be day 2 if I can stand it. I'll be suffering with you!
And only 2.5 lbs to go! That's one more week like this one!

Way to go! I have the Shred, but haven't done it for a while. Time to break it out again and get moving. So, once you meet your goal next week (I know you can do it), are you going to keep going, or switch into maintenance mode? Just curious.
