About Hot by Thirty

  • Desperate not to spend another summer hiding out in fat and/or maternity clothes, I'm determined to drop thirty pounds of baby weight by my thirtieth birthday- July 18, 2009. How unfortunate, then, that I prefer to spend nap time in front of my television with a vat of ice cream. But I've lost these same thirty pounds twice before and I can do it again. I shall do this by steering clear of white flour and sugar and moving my stumpy legs as fast as they will go on our new treadmill. In front of the television, of course. I lost over the weekend, but I cheated and got the flu so I don't think that counts.

Keep up the good work!

I know the struggle you are going through. I wish you the best of luck. Holiday food and the Holiday season are the bane of my good health and weight existence.

Still you can do it! Gambatte Kudasai! (Keep your chin up :-) )

Whoa, hang on there. Talk more about this turkey stuffed with fried rice. That sounds like a winning idea. I mean, not for weight loss, but for turkeys in general.

Those two blasted pounds! But you're such a rock star, I bet they'll be gone by Wednesday and you'll be all about shedding new ones by next weigh in. Getting back on the horse is the hardest part. I am starting to feel like I am made of sugar by now.- I worked out today for the first time all weekend...but did not weigh myself. I can't bring myself to.

I KNOW. Me too. We'll start fresh this week, okay? Just in time for Christmas cookies. sigh...

*whimper* If I could just manage to exercise I think I would still be losing.

At this moment though, I am not. Thanksgiving was an EPIC FAIL (diet wise) and my 4-year-old is now asking so sweetly, "Next time when we make cookies, can we make the mint-chocolate ones?"

(I do love him so.)
