About Hot by Thirty

  • Desperate not to spend another summer hiding out in fat and/or maternity clothes, I'm determined to drop thirty pounds of baby weight by my thirtieth birthday- July 18, 2009. How unfortunate, then, that I prefer to spend nap time in front of my television with a vat of ice cream. But I've lost these same thirty pounds twice before and I can do it again. I shall do this by steering clear of white flour and sugar and moving my stumpy legs as fast as they will go on our new treadmill. In front of the television, of course. You can also find me at mightymaggie.com.

I've added hair and proper clothing to mine. (And by proper clothing I mean jeans that look nice.) Because I need to do something about my hair. When I donated to Locks of Love this last time, I got the worst haircut ever and I have just been waiting for it to get long enough to fix.

Wear more yoga pants.

Seriously - I'm sick of dressing up for work. By the time I'm 30, I'd better be not having to get dressed up for work.

I aim high.

Have fun tonight! That sounds like a fantastic evening out to me....low carb happy hour and cocktails and home early! I can't make it much past 9 p.m. these days. I work full-time and even with my two little ones in daycare, I can't manage to put make-up on, like EVER. You are so right, there is NO TIME. If I manage to put my contacts on, I consider it going above and beyond.

Jumping on the Hot(ter) by Thirty bandwagon since I realized that I had jelly beans for dinner, twice, okay for the entire weekend. Yeah, that may not be so awesome. So, Hot(ter) by my birthday, which is four days before yours.

Hair and wardrobe are okay on this end. I really want to learn how to ride a bicycle (yes, [stands up] my name is Charlotte and I never learned how to ride a bicycle, I'm from New York City I have an excuse) and perhaps do a triathalon or half marathon next year.

Wow, Maggie! 12 lbs is 7 weeks?!?! GO YOU!

You are doing so great with the weight loss! I'm way impressed.

I'm intrigued by the low carb thing, though I have a feeling I could never do it. Breastfeeding makes me hungry ALL the time and I just want to jam something quick like crackers in my mouth every time I walk in the kitchen.

I just posted on the stupid bridesmaid dress dilemma, so I suppose you could add that to my Hot by January 2nd (the wedding date) list. And a haircut.
