About Hot by Thirty

  • Desperate not to spend another summer hiding out in fat and/or maternity clothes, I'm determined to drop thirty pounds of baby weight by my thirtieth birthday- July 18, 2009. How unfortunate, then, that I prefer to spend nap time in front of my television with a vat of ice cream. But I've lost these same thirty pounds twice before and I can do it again. I shall do this by steering clear of white flour and sugar and moving my stumpy legs as fast as they will go on our new treadmill. In front of the television, of course. I have a manual scale. You know, the kind that doesn't use a battery. It seems to work pretty well. It was cheap too.

I never like anything when I shop. That's why I never do it and am currently wearing a t-shirt that my husband bought me when we were in college.

I love how honest you are. :) It makes me happy.

I hate the mall - it overwhelms me like crazy. And heels? So cute. But oh-so-uncomfy.

I'm with you.

Dammmmmmn. Good work Maggie. It looks like you are going for hot by Christmas at this pace. I stood still weight wise this week and with all the turkey and mashed potatoes that there is progress!

I love the shopping but or some strange reason I can't bring myself to go. I've gotten to that hideous every time I walk dowm stairs my jeans fall down place but am reluctant to buy a new pair. 5id you find the dress and if not have you tried Banana Republic or J. Crew? Maybe Anthropologie. Even the big department stores are having awesome early fall sales, if you scour the racks you could find something cute and cheap.
